Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon is accused of murdering former Ten reporter Jesse Baird, 26, and Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies, 29.
He has pleaded not guilty and has not yet outlined his defence.
Prosecutor Brett Hatfield SC has begun his opening address outlining how he alleges Lamarre-Condon ended up murdering Mr Baird and Mr Davies.

LATE 2022
* Jesse Baird meets Beau Lamarre-Condon and the two begin a relationship
* Lamarre-Condon believes the relationship to be quite serious but Mr Baird sees it as more casual
APRIL 2023
* The pair break up for the first time, reportedly amicably
* Lamarre-Condon allegedly begins exhibiting controlling behaviours including following Mr Baird’s movements and stalking his social media
AUGUST 17
* Lamarre-Condon allegedly breaks into Mr Baird’s house, stealing his phone and wallet before being chased out by his ex
* Mr Baird does not recognise the thief but notices a bobby pin was shoved in his front door lock to give the impression of being picked
LATE 2023
* The pair begin dating again in September, although Mr Baird saw it as more of a physical connection
* When Mr Baird finds out in November that Lamarre-Condon stole his phone and blocked people out of jealousy, he says he wants no further contact
* Lamarre-Condon uses a friend’s Instagram account to send Mr Baird a message lying about a cancer diagnosis and the possibility of having his arm amputated
* From December, Lamarre-Condon allegedly begins planning the murder by asking friends to get him a gun and investigating buying a silencer
* On New Year’s Eve, Mr Baird meets Mr Davies and the two begin a relationship, which Lamarre-Condon becomes aware of
FEBRUARY 17, 2024
* Lamarre-Condon goes to a sport store with a friend and buys a surfboard bag after checking it was big enough to fit an adult inside
FEBRUARY 18
* Lamarre-Condon pretends to return his police weapon after a shift to a gun safe at Balmain Police Station but instead keeps it
* He later drove with his mother to a rental car depot and she hired a blue Mazda which she parked in Kensington
FEBRUARY 19
* Lamarre-Condon wakes early and drives his car to Kensington where he switches to the hired Mazda
* Dressed as an Uber Eats driver, the police officer stakes out Mr Baird’s Paddington house for several hours as his roommates leave.
* Lamarre-Condon allegedly enters the home wearing a motorcycle helmet and shoots Mr Baird twice
* As Mr Davies attempts to call triple zero in another room, Lamarre-Condon shoots him once through the door
FEBRUARY 20 to 25
* Lamarre-Condon returns to the Paddington home several times to clean the scene and returned his firearm to the police safe
* He sent messages from Baird’s mobile phone to give the impression he was still alive and planning to move to Perth
* Mr Baird’s bloodied belongings were discovered in a bin at Cronulla Bowling Club
* After hiring a van, Lamarre-Condon took the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies to Bungonia, about 200km from where they were killed
* He unsuccessfully tried to sink them in a dam and instead dumped them outside the fence line of a Greek Orthodox monastery
* By February 22, Lamarre-Condon became aware he was a person of interest in the missing persons investigation into the two men’s disappearance
* Once back in Sydney, he handed himself in to police and allegedly revealed the whereabouts of the bodies, prompting a search of the Bungonia location
