A mother has been charged with murder over an alleged horror stabbing tragedy in the Blue Mountains.
The woman, 42, was charged with two counts of cause wounding/grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and murder following the alleged horror stabbing at the weekend.
Emergency services first received reports three children and a woman were stabbed in a vehicle on Waratah Rd about 12.45pm on Sunday.
One boy, 5, was found dead with stab wounds in a car and two siblings, aged 1 and 3, were rushed to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, both in a critical condition, in the Blue Mountains town of Valley Heights.
Members of the public performed first aid on the woman and three children while they called Triple 0.
The woman was refused bail at a bedside hearing on Tuesday and is due to appear before the Penrith Local Court on November 20.
