Hyderabad: Due to food safety violations and operating without a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India ( FSSAI ) license, a restaurant in the city of Hyderabad was shut down on Thursday, September 24.
The Lucky Restaurant in Pragathi Nagar was shut down by the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs ( TG SAFE ) due to a significant cockroach infestation and unhygienic conditions.
In contrast, inspections were conducted at 15 food stores and found mosquito infestation, spoiled and poisoned food items, inappropriate storage and labeling, and poor sanitation.
Five restaurants received notices of progress after receiving sixteen foods tests for laboratory analysis. Eight restaurants and restaurant across Hyderabad have been suspended from their FSSAI licenses, according to authorities, and one has received a show-cause see.
208 meal and store establishments were inspected in August by TG SAFE, and 30 licenses were revoked because of violations ranging from unsanitary facilities to the sale of inferior paneer and substandard medications.
In a new drive to find chocolates, khoya, cheese, and other cheese materials, TG SAFE inspected 46 businesses, suspended four because of severe breaches, and seized more than 19 tons of material. Additionally, the state has outlawed the production, transportation, storage, and price of analog cheese.
