Three men and a woman are set to face court over a shooting earlier this month which left a man in his 30s fighting for life.
On Sunday September 13, a shooting in Hamilton Hill in Perth’s south set off a major manhunt and put a neighbourhood into lockdown.
A 37-year-old man suffered serious injuries in the incident and faced a fight for his life — but has since been discharged from hospital.
It will be alleged the shooting took place at around 4.30am, near the corner of Karda Way and Yongka and saw the alleged victim suffer a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
More than a week ago, alleged suspects were arrested and questioned by police, before being released without charge.
At the time, WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch were investigating if the shooting was linked to another incident at a Hamilton Hill unit complex two days earlier.
“We believe it’s a very confined incident between a number of parties known to each other,” he said.
But on Friday, detectives revealed four people — a 47-year-old man from O’Connor, a 39-year-old man from Aveley, a 45-year-old man from Success and a 49-year-old woman from Hamilton Hill — had been charged over the incident.
All four have been charged with attempting to unlawfully kill and will appear at Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday.
