Controversial former Today Show presenter and podcast host Karl Stefanovic has been named as host of the 2026 edition of CPAC Australia, to be held next month.
The media figure, who describes himself as having a “strong BS metre”, will be interviewing three of the nation’s most prominent right-wing leaders “live and unscripted” at the CPAC Australia National Conference on October 10 and 11.
Mr Stefanovic will be taking the stage to interview One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, Liberal Party leader Angus Taylor and Nationals leader Matt Canavan at the opening session on October 10.
In an announcement posted on CPAC Australia social media pages, Mr Stefanovic has been described as “independent, and asking the questions on his terms”.
“You won’t want to miss this, it’s the session that is bound to send the establishment media into a head spin, and nothing beats being in the room when it happens.”
The conference will also feature a number of well known conservative Australian politicians, including One Nation deputy leader Barnaby Joyce, Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, and Senator Bridget McKenzie.
Other figures of note include Liz Truss, best known for her 49-day tenure as UK Prime Minister, and anti-trans activist Sall Grover.
Ticket prices for the event range from standard 2-day general access for $99 or $67 for a single day.
Golden tickets, referred to as the “attend-everything, engage-with-everyone” ticket will set CPAC members back $480 and non-members $599, and the platinum experience, which involves access to a “platinum room” and requires security vetting, will set you back $7000.
Mr Stefanovic has recently been embroiled in a legal dispute related to the co-ownership of his podcast business with Keshnee Ibrahim, who he has reportedly been trying to remove as a co-owner.
