Harley Reid has clapped back at Fremantle fans after the Dockers’ heartbreaking grand final loss to Brisbane on Saturday, with the West Coast star keeping receipts.
Even as the Dockers played off in their second grand final, the rivalry between them and the Eagles remained strong as Reid made his feelings known about the men in purple.
A video was posted to social media on Friday where Dockers fans in Melbourne were chanting “Harley’s in Bali, Murphy’s at the G”.
Eagles teammate Willem Duursma was quick to respond to the video with a comment saying “rent free” on Friday, while Reid fired his shot back at Fremantle straight after the grand final defeat.
Reid responded with a “Lol (laughing emoji) aged well” after the game with Eagles fans quick to back up their star.
Fremantle fell agonisingly short of their maiden premiership, with a final four-minute blitz by the Lions handing them their third straight flag.
Childhood friend of Reid and former West Coast WAFL player Jason Gilbee added “Harley’s in Bali… Freo might as well beeeeeeee.”
There are plenty of replies to each comment with both Fremantle and West Coast supporters making their feelings known for each other.
Expect the first derby of 2027 to be a spicy affair.
