Nicole Scherzinger revealed she suffered a gruesome injury while on tour with The Pussycat Dolls – but assured fans she wouldn’t let it keep her from performing.
In a picture uploaded to her Instagram stories late on Sunday, the 48-year-old shared that she had badly burnt her leg after accidentally pouring boiling water on herself just hours before she was due on stage.
“Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set — But the show must go on,” she said in her post alongside a snap of her leg covered in painful looking blisters, red welts and burn marks.
“Thanks Düsseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam.”
The singer is currently on tour with Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt for the Pussycat Dolls’ latest world tour, PCD Forever, which kicked off in June in Denmark.
The group is currently touring through Europe, with the unfortunate burn taking place just hours before their show in the German City on Saturday night before jetting to the Netherlands on Sunday for their next gig.
Scherzinger and The Dolls are due back on stage on Tuesday as the tour moves to England for a handful of shows before heading back to mainland Europe for the remaining leg of their tour.
It comes as the tour was drastically cut down, with most of the North American tour dates cancelled before the first show even started following disappointing ticket sales.
“When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world,” the group shared in a joint post shared on Instagram in May.
“After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heart-breaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”
