Lisa Vanderpump is determined to leave a “legacy”.
The 66-year-old reality TV star is launching a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, and Lisa has shared her long-term ambitions in the trailer for Bravo’s all-new limited series, Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas.
She says in the trailer: “Hello darling, I’ve been waiting for you!
“I’m so glad you called The Vanderpump Hotel — my little love letter to Las Vegas. This hotel reflects beauty, warmth and the feeling that someone truly thought about you before you arrived.”
The video then cuts to a confessional-style clip of Lisa, who says: “We have two weeks until the grand opening. There’s my name on that, so I want to create a legacy.”
Lisa insists she will realise her ambitions, regardless of what obstacles she faces.
She says: “Come hell or high water, or holes in the ceiling, this hotel is opening in two weeks.”
Vanderpump Rules underwent a revamp prior to season 12 of the show, and Lisa previously explained that the most-recent series felt “very different”.
The TV star is convinced that the all-new cast will prove to be a hit with viewers in the long term.
She told People: “The continuation is the essence of working in the restaurant business, and I’m still here and that’s obviously the crux of the matter, but the most important thing, always in a show like this, is the relationships and the people and the cohesion, and that’s very different.
“They’re very different people. The world has changed. The world has moved on. I think Gen Z are incredibly different to how young people were 12 years ago.”
The show’s original cast featured the likes of Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Lala Kent.
But Lisa was convinced that season 12 would be markedly different.
She said: “We would never try to do the same show again. We’ve done that. We’ve moved on.
“The problems they had in the last cast at the end of Vanderpump Rules, they were much bigger, much more serious. Not an emotional level, but we would talk about starting businesses and marriages and things like that. Whereas this, these are naughty, young, funny people living their best life. And so it’s kind of back to grassroots.”
