St Kilda will soon turn its attention to extending superstar Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera’s contract after this year’s trade and free agency period.
Wanganeen-Milera signed what was described as the game’s most lucrative two-year deal during 2025.
The two South Australian clubs made a strong homecoming pitch and will undoubtedly try again if he doesn’t commit early next year.
St Kilda general manager Lenny Hayes said Wanganeen-Milera and emerging star Max Hall were primary focuses.
“I think once we get through this next period, there’s no doubt ‘Nas’ and probably Max Hall will be priorities for us going forward,” Hayes told AFL Trade Radio.
“There’s no timeline on that just yet, but no doubt our guys will reach out at the right time.”
St Kilda is in ongoing discussions with Geelong over ruckman Rowan Marshall.
Marshall requested a second trade to the Cats in as many years after being held to his 2027 contract last year.
Hayes said the Saints would be “open to looking at a few different options” to finalise the trade.

“He’s a very good player, Rowan … he’s an experienced ruckman, he’s been a good player for us for a long period of time,” he said.
“He’s finished top six in our best and fairest the last three years. We feel like he’s actually had a really good combination with TDK this year.
“I think we’d be open to looking at a few different things and, as I said before, those conversations are ongoing at the moment.
“No doubt it’s going to take a little bit to get to a point where we’re satisfied because of how highly we do rate Rowan.”
