Fitness expert and TV personality Sam Wood has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident on the Sunshine Coast.
The 46-year-old, who lives in Melbourne, had been holidaying in Noosa when the alleged attack took place.
Police say they were called to Hastings St on Noosa’s famous beachfront around 9pm Saturday over reports of domestic violence.
Wood has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting.
He will spend Sunday night in custody and face court on Monday.
Wood shot to fame as The Bachelor in 2015 and has since built a career as a fitness entrepreneur.
He owns an online training empire and makes regular TV appearances.
