Powerball will soar to $100 million next week after Thursday night’s $60 million draw failed to produce a Division 1 winner.

The rollover came after five straight draws without a top-prize winner, setting up the biggest Australian lottery prize in more than 16 months.

No entry matched all seven winning numbers plus the Powerball in draw 1586 on Thursday night, sending the jackpot into next week’s draw.

Powerball last offered a $100 million jackpot in June 2025.

If one person takes home the full prize next week, they will share the title of Australia’s third biggest lottery winner ever.

While there were no division 1 winners, five entries across the country collected Division 2 prizes of $206,779.40 each, sharing a total pool of $1,033,897.

Division 3 delivered $10,396.50 each to 123 winners.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said there had been a steady stream of Powerball Division 1 wins so far this year, keeping jackpots from climbing this high until now.

“I’m sure plenty of Aussies will be vying for the chance to become a multi-millionaire in next week’s $100 million Powerball draw,” Mr Hart said.

“In fact, we expect up to half of Australian adults to have an entry into next Thursday’s draw.”
