Glen Powell and Michelle Randolph share the same “values”.
The Top Gun: Maverick actor and the Landman actress went Instagram official with their relationship in July after being romantically linked for several months, and the 37-year-old star is happy with the balance they have achieved in their lives.
He told America’s Esquire magazine: “Life is fast for both of us, and we have the same values. She loves her family. I love my family. And we both care about work a lot. We both like to show up for our partners. And yet we also understand the balance of it all.”
The Chad Powers star thinks it is “lovely” to have such a supportive partner in Michelle.
He said: “There’s something so lovely about someone rooting for you. Someone who wants you to win in all the ways that are good for you as a human. Not just professionally but in all the ways that are good for your soul.”
Glen had previously dated model Gigi Paris for several years but their romance ended amid speculation linking him with Anyone but You co-star Sydney Sweeney, and in the years that followed, he feared he’d never settle down.
He said: “I was starting to get nihilistic. It was hard.”
But eventually, finding Michelle made him realise things could be different.
He said: “It’s the person. You can really diagnose yourself with an inability to show up for somebody when, in reality, you just need to find a person who it’s both of you making room for each other.”
Meanwhile, the Running Man star insisted he isn’t interested in sharing his political beliefs and engaging in discussion is “not presently possible” because he finds it too divisive a subject.
He said: “Over time. I realised that politics divide people. People trying to prove their point—for me, it’s the worst version of a conversation. I genuinely do not like the discourse. It’s not as healthy as it once was.
“I applaud people for jumping into those things and fighting for what they believe in. If I were a political person, I would be talking about it. For me, my calling is elsewhere.”
Glen previously described his relationship with Michelle, 28, as “very serious”.
When asked if an engagement might be on the cards, he told TMZ: “I’d say it’s very serious.”
Asked if it was nerve-wracking going Instagram official with Michelle, he said: “Nah, it’s not.
“It’s never nerve-wracking if you believe in it.”
