Israel made strong comment after former UN human rights key Navanethem” Navi” Pillay won the Nobel Peace Prize, calling it the hideous weaponization of the prize.
Pillay, 85, who was born in South Africa and served as a prosecutor in the International Court of Justice, received a plaque honoring her efforts to advance international laws and serenity on Friday, October 9.
She had presided over a UN panel that concluded that Israel had massacred Palestinians in Gaza, results that the Israeli authorities rejected.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry decried the Nobel Committee’s treatment of the “biggest rest of the 21st century” on social media following the news.
Navi Pillay doesn’t really be a contender for the honor if there were more lies, anger, and blood libels. She would be in the lead, according to the ministry’s X-ray.
The biggest lay ever
It was stated that Pillay’s involvement in the relentlessly politically inspired “demonization” of Israel and “promotion of genoLIE” speaks volumes.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry claimed that awarding Pillay the Nobel Peace Prize was “grotesque weaponization of an honor to legitimise anti-Israel contempt and bigotry.”
Joseph Goebbels is undoubtedly applauding from heaven now that the Nobel committee has awarded the biggest rest of the 21st century, it added.
Nazi, one of Adolf Hitler’s closest, committed fans, is well known for his public chatting, where he frequently expressed intense antisemitism.
” Is Pillay’s work a source of inspiration and wish?”
J.R. Watne Frydnes, the head of the Norway Nobel Committee, stated that Pillay’s work “is a source of hope and creativity to all those who seek to bring about a more peaceful earth.”
The Nobel Committee reminds us that the global order of law dictates how to resolve conflicts without force or violence, as the number of wars and conflicts rises and judges and international law institutions are under democratic assault, according to a press release.
Pillay was informed of her victory while she was speaking at a convention for human rights doctors in Nuremberg, Germany. Pillay’s sincere response following receiving the news is captured in a movie posted by Amnesty International’s director-general Agnes Callamard.
She responded,” Thank you very much.” She quipped,” I may communicate this trophy with Trump if you clap a little more,” in response to US President Donald Trump, who has much demanded the honor and recently claimed he deserves the most prestigious award in the world.
