In and around Hyderabad, two people were detained in Rangareddy district’s Shabad for supposedly possessing MDMA for sale to program workers. The drug, which is worth about Rs. 2 million, was taken from the Future City Police along with three cellular phones.
Maram Vamshi Reddy, 23, and Beera Praveen Kumar, 28, both from Rangareddy district’s Indira Reddy Nagar Colony, both from Mirzaguda community, were identified as the arrested people.
The suspects reportedly told the police that they had purchased about 14 grams of MDMA from a man named Stephen in Bengaluru for Inr 42, 000, or Rs 3, 000 per ounce during the initial interrogation. According to police, they allegedly intended to sell the medication in Mokila, Kokapet, and Nanakramguda in order to profit illegally.
The illicit was taken by the police along with a joystick phone and two Redmi mobile devices. With the assistance of the Facts Team, the seized items were documented in the presence of testimony.
The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances ( NDPS) Act, 1985, read with Section 22 c ) ( punishment for the same, pertains to commercial quantity of psychotropic substances ), Shabad police filed a case under Section 8 c ).
Stephen’s reported role in the pharmaceutical supply is being investigated by the police, who are looking for him. According to authorities, the inspection is advancing to determine the size of the supply system.
