Australia have sent Bangladesh in for the second time in their ODI series as they believe rain may impact the second match in Brisbane later in the evening.
Captain Tahlia McGrath had no hesitation in making the call when she won the toss on Sunday ahead of the clash at Allan Border Field.
“We reckon there is a bit of weather on the way,” she said.
Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana Joty was not disappointed by McGrath’s call.
“We wanted to bat,” she said.
Both sides are unchanged from Friday’s opening match of the three-match series, won by Australia by seven wickets.
Australia’s pace bowlers Megan Schutt and Annabel Sutherland were outstanding in the win but fellow quick Kim Garth will be looking to improve on her first outing of the series.
