## Rare preorder deal cuts price on physical edition
The physical version of *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* remake—which normally carries a $69.99 tag—can currently be preordered for approximately **$59.88**, thanks to discounts available at **Amazon and Walmart**.
Importantly, this offer applies only to the **physical copy**, not the digital version, which stays priced at **$59.99**.
Amazon sweetens the deal with a preorder price guarantee: if the price drops between the time you order and when you’re charged, you’ll pay the lowest amount.

## Release date, special content, and anniversary hardware
Set your calendars: the remake officially launches **November 5, 2026**, and it’s designed specifically for the **Nintendo Switch 2**—it doesn’t run natively on the original Switch.
Collectors and fans will want to act fast for the **first print run**, which includes a **textured foil cover art** on the physical edition.
In honor of the **40th anniversary** of the Zelda franchise, Nintendo has also unveiled themed hardware releasing this fall—this lineup includes a special-edition Switch 2 console, matching Pro Controller, and carrying case—scheduled to hit stores **October 29, 2026**.

## How to secure the deal & what to double check
Since the discount appears through retailer reports rather than an official Nintendo promotion, verify your savings before completing checkout.
Here are some key points to watch out for:
– Confirm you’re selecting the **physical** version for Switch 2.
– The discounted price shows up after adding the item to your cart on Amazon or Walmart—don’t trust only the listed price.
– Ensure the final price includes all taxes, shipping or pickup fees.
– Check that you’re getting the **textured foil cover art** special edition if that’s what you want. Once the first print run sells out, standard editions will follow.

Plus, given the added allure of textured foil packaging in the first wave, this deal appeals not just to those who play, but also those who collect.
