Tyra Banks is pitching a “bananas” Life-Size 3 idea to Disney.
The 52-year-old supermodel and actress starred in the original 2000 flick as Eve – a doll who comes to life to help young girl Casey Stuart (played by Lindsay Lohan) come to terms with the grief of losing her mother – and after returning in 2018 a second made-for-TV film, she is adamant her latest pitch “should be in the movie theatre”.
She told Entertainment Weekly: “I have a crazy idea for Life-Size 3. I have a bananas idea for Life-Size 3.”
She added: “You know how when some things are big enough that people will come see a movie? It should have its own popcorn bucket. Like, a Life-Size popcorn bucket!”
Banks described the idea as “massive”, and revealed she is planning to get in touch with Disney about the potential project.
She wasn’t keen on sharing plot details for her pitch, but the America’s Next Top Model star teased themes of “love” and “romance”.
However, Banks played down the idea of a Ken-style doll coming on the scene for her character to fall for.
She laughed: “No, that’s boring and traditional and typical!”
In the first made-for-television movie, Lohan – then 13 years old – played a teen who accidentally brings her doll to life using a spell which was meant to resurrect her mother.
Banks – who reprised her role as Eve in 2018’s Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve – previously revealed an idea she had for how a third movie could bring Lohan back into the fold.
Back in 2024, she told The Drew Barrymore Show: “I feel like I’ve been really looking at Lindsay and I feel like, what if she was a doll?
“What if she, in some kind of way, magically turned into a doll? And then my Eve character had to teach her how to be a doll.
“I feel like that could be very interesting.”
That same year, Banks teased the prospect of another film in the franchise after visiting a Polly Pocket-themed Airbnb in Massachusetts.
She wrote on Instagram: “Oh Polly Pocket, so small in size but BIG in memories and inspiration!
“I’m sure so many kids that loved my Life-Size movie thought of you while watching it… guess it’s time to visit this lil place and dream up another script.
“What say you, @lindsaylohan? xo Eve/TyTy.”
