Picking up 25 years later, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 follows matriarch Tulsi Virani returning to Shantiniketan after serving a decade-long prison sentence to take the blame for a family tragedy. Upon her return, she finds the iconic household fractured by internal power struggles, long-buried secrets, and generational rifts. As original nemeses resurface alongside complex rivalries among the next-generation Virani heirs — led by Angad, Vrinda, and Karan — Tulsi must once again fight to shield her family from external forces, reconcile broken bonds, and restore the lost legacy and moral core of Shantiniketan.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 also brings together a mix of returning legacy characters and a new generation of leads. Gauri Pradhan reprises her role as Nandini Virani, joining returning original cast members Shakti Anand (Hemant), Ketaki Dave (Daksha), and Sumeet Sachdev (Gautam). The multi-generational storyline is driven by new lead cast members Rohit Suchanti and Tanisha Mehta as Angad and Vrinda Virani, alongside Shagun Sharma as Paridhi. Barkha Bisht joins the cast as the principal antagonist, Noina Sarabhai, triggering corporate and personal conflicts against the Shantiniketan household.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 airs on linear television on Star Plus in its flagship prime-time slot.
For digital audiences, the daily drama streams exclusively on JioHotstar.
