Dakota Johnson and MGK “aren’t ready to go official yet”.
The 37-year-old actress and the 36-year-old music star were recently spotted out together in New York City, sparking speculation about their relationship status – but the duo aren’t ready to “put a label” on it yet.
A source told People: “They have been out on dates that people don’t know about because there aren’t any photos.”
Dakota and MGK are still in a “dating phase”.
The insider shared: “They both really like each other and have been seeing each other more frequently. They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet, but they’re growing closer every time they hang out.”
The source added that Dakota and MGK share the “same dry and dark sense of humour” and they “make each other laugh”.
This speculation comes shortly after Dakota revealed that she wants to have children.
The actress has enjoyed huge success in Hollywood, starring in a host of big-budget movies – but Dakota now plans to focus on her personal life, rather than her acting career.
The brunette beauty – who was previously engaged to Coldplay’s Chris Martin – told Vogue: “I’ve worked back-to-back for so long that now I have this deep calling to shift my perspective a bit and maybe have a bit more of a real life.
“I’ve been gone for, like, 20 years. The people in my life are so used to me leaving for months at a time.”
Dakota now plans to shoot fewer films in the coming years, and instead focus more of her time and attention on her off-screen life.
She said: “I just want to be authentic. I want to unfold and unfold and really lovingly embrace this life.”
Dakota is clear that she wants to have children.
The actress shared: “I really do. I didn’t expect to be this age and at this place in my life, but for whatever reason, that’s the plan of the universe. So I would love that.
“I hope that that happens for me. I’ve always felt, especially the last few years, that there is a soul that wants to come through. And I hope that I’m lucky enough to be able to do that.”
