On Thursday, October 22, a group of foreign medical graduates ( FMGs ) in Hyderabad demanded stipends in the same way that were given to Indian medical graduates ( IMGs ) in a protest outside the Directorate of Medical Education ( DME) office in Koti.
A number of marchers were taken to Chikkadpally Police Station after being detained.

Prior to this, on September 23, intern physicians began a strike in state hospitals and staged protests in areas like Dharna Chowk, Person’s Plaza, and the company of Telangana State Medical Council ( TSMC).

The physicians took to the streets once more on Thursday, alleging that the DME, the Health Department Secretary, and the Health Minister lacked action and continued to ignore their expectations.

The police, according to the Disha Students ‘ Organization, used excessive force against demonstrators who opposed confinement and against those who recorded authorities action movies.
