Louis Vuitton embarks on a new chapter in Melbourne as the House undertakes an extensive renovation of its store at 139 Collins Street, a landmark address since August 1989. Spanning all floors, the transformation will reaffirm Melbourne’s importance for Louis Vuitton and introduce the latest expression of the House’s store design and client experience when it reopens in January 2028.
Reflecting Louis Vuitton’s commitment to innovation, excellence and savoir-faire, the project marks a significant milestone in Louis Vuitton’s long-standing presence in the city.
During the renovation period, Louis Vuitton will welcome clients to its Temporary Store on Russell Street, offering a broad selection of the House’s iconic women’s and men’s Leather Goods, ready-to-wear and travel, alongside a curated assortment of accessories, shoes and exclusive Louis Vuitton fragrances crafted for the discerning local audience.
Ready-to-wear creations from the new Ski and Cruise collections will enrich the women’s offering, while the men’s universe will showcase the Spring-Summer 2027 pre-collection. The coveted Speedy P9 will be presented alongside pieces from the Mon Monogram collection, offering clients the opportunity to personalise their travel pieces with patches, initials and coloured stripes.
Conceived as a bright and immersive space, the temporary store evokes a refined resort spirit through vivid tones and straw finishes inspired by the coastline, balanced by raw flooring and columns that preserve the character of the existing site. The façade features the Louis Vuitton Wanders mesh, offering subtle glimpses into the store, while animated windows, archival visuals and emblematic Louis Vuitton trunks bring the House’s spirit of travel and creativity to life.
