A disgraced swim coach released on parole for possessing vile images of children has found himself back before the courts after downloading more child abuse material within a month of his release.

Mark Andrew Sendecky, 42, was living at Nunyara Community Offender Support Program Centre in Malabar in Sydney’s eastern suburbs when police swooped on November 27 last year.

Officers found 33 videos showing the sexual abuse and degradation of children on his mobile phone.

Sendecky’s reoffending can now be revealed after he pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing child abuse material obtained using a carriage service in the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney.

Sendecky was the former coaching and marketing director at Masters Swimming Victoria between 2014 and 2018.

He was arrested last year during a police operation investigating an alleged Sydney-based pedophile network involved in distributing satanic child sexual abuse material.

Others arrested at the same time, including the alleged leader of the ring Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta-Mills, are still before the courts and have not yet been required to enter pleas to any charges they might ultimately face.

Sendecky was released from jail on parole in September 2025 after serving more than four years for possessing 1200 photos and clips of children being abused, which were stored in a Dropbox folder.

At his sentencing hearing relating to those matters, findings by a psychologist were submitted to the court which suggested Sendecky had “no great insight into the harm perpetrated to individuals and to the community”.

Sendecky had promised the court he was going to undergo prison rehabilitation programs to try and ensure he doesn’t reoffend.

But just weeks after being released on parole, he committed the new offences.

According to an agreed statement of facts before the Downing Centre, Sendecky, who is back behind bars, admitted to police that he had begun using the phone to download child abuse material within a month of his release.

“The offender explained that he had downloaded videos using the social media application named X formerly Twitter,” the facts read.

Sendecky was one of a several men arrested in what has been described by police as a depraved international satanic child sexual abuse ring.

Germanotta-Mills, who is charged with the possession of child abuse material, making child abuse material available via a carriage service and disseminating and possessing bestiality material, was released under strict bail conditions by the NSW Supreme Court earlier this year.

Benjamin Drysdale 46, Stuart Riches, 39 and former police officer David Turner, 42, have been charged with similar offences relating to possession of child abuse material.

Their matters will return to court later this year.

Sendecky was an accomplished swimmer who competed in the National Swimming Championships and won multiple races in his career, as well as coaching in Sydney and Victoria.

He will appear in the District Court on November 30 to begin sentencing proceedings.
