Jesy Nelson is set to launch her own YouTube channel.

The former Little Mix singer previously welcomed cameras into her home to document her family life for the Amazon Prime Video docuseries Jesy Nelson: Life Changing, and now she’s ready to further shine a spotlight on raising her 17-month-old twin daughters, Ocean and Story – who she has with former partner Zion Foster – amid their health challenges with the rare genetic condition SMA Type 1.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Jesy has been through a very difficult time, but she will never stop fighting for her daughters and raising awareness of their condition.

“She’s now used to filming and having cameras follow her life, so starting her own YouTube channel feels like the perfect next step.

“By documenting the journey that she’s been on and sharing it with people, the hope is that it can offer some help.

“No expense would be spared on the project.

“She wants it to be really professional and there will be an experienced team working behind the scenes to make it happen.”

Jesy previously headed to the Houses of Parliament in London to witness a debate over SMA testing after she managed to gain more than 150,000 signatures on a petition calling for the condition to be added to the NHS newborn screening test. The petition was debated in Westminster Hall in June after receiving almost 150,000 signatures.

The pop star has called for all babies to be given a simple test that could pick up the condition at an early stage, but she was left disappointed after the Government confirmed that an evaluation of newborn SMA screening in England would only cover around 72% of births rather than being available nationwide. The evaluation began in October 2026 and is intended to provide evidence to inform a future decision on national screening.

Speaking after the parliamentary debate, she told reporters: “‘I’m going to be completely honest, I was absolutely fuming. I feel so let down.

“I have no more words. It’s sad. It’s so sad, like our children’s lives could look so different, and to know that we are still debating it. We are debating whether SMA future children should be disabled or not.

“Based on where you live, how does that make sense? How is that fair? How is that fair?”

In her Amazon docuseries, the 35-year-old singer admitted she would always feel “heartbroken” over her daughters’ diagnoses.

She broke down in tears and said: “The genetic testing came back positive for spinal muscular atrophy.

“I can’t believe this is happening. It’s the most severe muscle disease a baby can have. I don’t know how we are going to do this. I feel like I’m going to feel heartbroken for the rest of my life.”
