Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for four military operations targeting Saudi Arabia, including King Khalid International Airport, Aramco oil storage facilities and the Financial Centre in Riyadh, while threatening to continue attacks deep inside the Kingdom.

In a statement issued on Sunday, November 8, the Houthi military spokesperson said the operations involved ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones.

The group claimed that the first operation targeted King Khalid International Airport, Aramco oil storage tanks and the Financial Centre in Riyadh. It alleged that the strikes directly hit their targets and caused significant damage.

The second operation targeted Aramco facilities in Abqaiq, with the Houthis claiming that the attack caused fires at the targeted sites.

The remaining two operations allegedly targeted Saudi military positions in Yemen’s Al-Jawf, Marib and Lahj governorates. The group claimed that the attacks resulted in a large number of casualties among Saudi forces.

The Houthis did not provide independently verified casualty figures, and their claims about the damage and military targets could not be independently confirmed.

Houthis threaten further attacks deep inside Saudi Arabia

The Yemeni Armed Forces said they would continue military operations deep inside Saudi territory, describing them as retaliation for what they called Saudi aggression against Yemen.

The statement also threatened further attacks on Saudi military positions and officers, saying operations would continue until the alleged aggression stopped and the blockade on Yemen was lifted.

The group reiterated its position of maintaining what it described as an equation of “a siege for a siege” and “an escalation for an escalation”.

Houthis claim 91 Saudi airstrikes in 24 hours

Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that Saudi Arabia had carried out 91 airstrikes and missile attacks targeting civilian sites in Yemen over the past 24 hours.

In a statement shared on X, Saree alleged that the attacks affected the governorates of Saada, Taiz, Hajjah, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf and Lahj, killing and injuring civilians.

He claimed that Saudi aircraft involved in the operations included F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets operating from the Khamis Mushait and Taif airbases, alongside missile attacks launched from Najran.

Saree further claimed that the total number of Saudi airstrikes and missile attacks since the escalation began had reached 4,460.
