According to a Hindustan Times report, the wedding is being organised as a hush-hush affair. A source quoted by the publication said, “Akansha and Sharan are getting married on July 11, followed by a wedding reception on July 12. The reception will take place in JW Marriott and will be hosted by the boy’s side.”
The report also said no printed invitation cards have been sent out. The couple reportedly do not want a large gathering and are keeping the celebrations restricted to family and close friends.
Relationship kept low-profile
As per the report, Akansha and Sharan have been dating for almost four years. Earlier reports had linked them in 2022. It was also reported at the time that they had kept their relationship secret for nearly six months before the news became public.
Even after that, they continued to maintain a low profile. They are, however, known to travel together and attend industry gatherings as each other’s plus one.
An earlier Hindustan Times report had quoted a source as saying, “They are dating for sure. She gushes every time you talk about Sharan or even mention his name. I don’t think they are even trying to hide their relationship. In fact, they are quite open about it, at least in their social circle.”
Akansha had also spoken earlier about her idea of love in an interview with IndiaToday.in. She had said, “I believe that true love does exist. I get inspired in the sense that I want a person who treats me the way Adi treats didi [Anushka]. I want to be how didi is with Adi in a relationship. We are both spoiled by our parents in a good way. But she has evolved so much as a person and partner for him. She has become more responsible and selfless.”
Work front
Akansha made her debut with Guilty and was last seen in Monica, O My Darling. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also featured Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and Huma Qureshi, and was released on Netflix on November 11.
Sharan Sharma directed Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
