Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has been accused of misconduct and indecent behaviour by ‘Soothravakyam’ actor, Aparna John. She claimed that he made explicit remarks with ‘sexual connotations’. Earlier, Vincy Aloshious filed a complaint against Chacko for alleged drug use and misconduct on the sets of ‘Soothravakyam’. Chacko has been given one final warning by the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce.

In fresh trouble, actor Aparna John, backed Aloshious’ claims and said that what she said was “100 per cent correct.” Aloshious, in her complaint, stated that she saw some white substance spilling out of his mouth.
Speaking to a regional channel, Aparna John, who is currently in Australia, said, “White powder is all I can say as I cannot state with any authority as to what it was. It could have been glucose.”
However, she added that Shine Tom Chacko exhibited “a very abnormal and erratic” behaviour on the film sets.
“He displayed a high energy which we cannot match. He moved around constantly, was restless, said things which had no logical connections and if any woman was around, then his remarks were indecent. Like Aloshious said, his remarks had strong sexual connotations and were explicit. It was like verbal diarrhoea,” she added.

Aparna John stated that she felt uncomfortable around him. However, she told a member of the Internal Complaints Commiittee (ICC) on the set about how she felt on the sets with him.
“I immediately got a resolution. The entire crew made the effort to complete my scenes ahead of schedule, so that I could leave,” she added.
Aparna said she would have done something else if acting was a career like how it is for Aloshious. “But, I have limitations as I am here (Australia),” she explained.
Vincy Aloshious accused Chacko of misbehaving with her. She complained about him, stating that he insisted on fixing her dress on the film sets, which made the situation awkward and uncomfortable. Eventually, she lodged a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce.
An internal meeting was held where Chacko’s family was informed that he needed professional assistance for drug consumption. He also assured that this behaviour will not be repeated. Reportedly, he also apologised to Aloshious for his behaviour.
After Vincy’s allegations, Chacko was arrested and then released on bail. While Vincy did not lodge a formal complaint with the police, the government said that it views the drug allegations seriously and act on it.
