A well-known furniture and homewares store has devastated customers by announcing its closure.
Aussie brand GIGI&TOM made the shocking statement earlier this week, saying the decision “has not been easy”.
“It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you we are closing our business GIGI&TOM,” the statement read.
“This decision has not been easy, and we deeply appreciate your support over the past 3 years.
“Whilst we are so proud of the community and brand that we have built the path of entrepreneurship is often unpredictable, and while we’ve had many wins, the current business environment has made it challenging to secure continued investment in a start-up brand.”
The Sydney-based company assured customers that the business was not going into administration and that all orders placed until stocks run out will be fulfilled.
The female-founded business, which has more than 100,000 Instagram followers, received an outpouring of love from its customers online.
“I’m so devastated for you guys and also devastated that I won’t be able to buy anymore absolute beauties from you. I, like so many others are absolutely obsessed with the quality merchandise you sell.” one person wrote.
Another said: “Noooo I only just discovered you and have been OBSESSED with all the amazing products that you don’t really see anywhere else.”
The business will hold a final closing down sale and urged customers to grab a bargain while stocks last.
