In a tragic accident in Bhopal’s Kolar area, two men died, and another was injured after their car plunged 50 feet into the Kerwa River on Wednesday night. The driver, reportedly distracted by Snapchat, lost control of the vehicle while navigating a turn on the Six Lane bridge.
The victims have been identified as Vineet (22), who was driving the car, and Palash Gaikwad (22). The injured survivor, Piyush Gajbhiye (24), managed to escape and alerted authorities.

According to police reports, Vineet was driving at a high speed and using Snapchat at the time of the accident. He lost control of the vehicle while attempting a turn on the bridge, causing the car to crash through the barrier and plunge into the river below.
Upon impact, the car doors locked, trapping the three inside. Piyush managed to break a window and escape, sustaining injuries in the process. He immediately informed the police about the incident.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and used tools to break the car’s windows to recover the bodies of Vineet and Palash. Both were pronounced dead on-site, and their bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations. Piyush was admitted to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
