Gujarat’s Finance Minister, Kanu Desai, announced a 14% increase in the state’s GST revenue for the financial year 2023-24. The taxpayer base has also surged by 135% since GST’s inception, with numbers growing from 5,08,863 to 12,01,270 by July 31, 2024.
