A man has died after suffering a medical episode, with CCTV capturing the moment he lost control of his vehicle and ploughed into a home in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Palomino Rd in Emu Heights about 8.45am on Tuesday, where they found the man, believed to be aged in his 70s, near his silver Mazda 2.

It is believed he suffered a medical episode.

Horrifying home CCTV footage captured the moments the car left the road and crashed through the home’s garden bed and into some bricks and windows.

Paramedics assisted the man out of the vehicle and performed CPR, before he was rushed to Nepean Hospital.

However, he could not be saved.

A couple inside the home at the time were not injured.

In a tragic twist, 9 News reports the man removed himself from the car and apologised to the occupants of the home for the accident, before he collapsed.

The house was significantly damaged, but nobody inside was injured. Concerns remain over the structural safety of the house, which may force the couple out of their home.

The man is yet to be identified.
