It comes after Neeson last year came to Victoria for the filming of Code Entertainments Ice Road and its sequel Ice Road 2 earlier this year.

With The Mongoose also produced by the team by Code, producers Al Corley and Bart Rosenblatt said “Shooting in Victoria again is fantastic.”

“Melbourne is a great city to shoot in – the local crews and the technical capabilities of the virtual stages are terrific.”

The Mongoose is expected to create 453 jobs and inject $19 million into the local economy.

Funded in part by the state government’s VICSCREEN initiative, minister for creative industries Colin Brooks said The Mongoose “is part of a strong pipeline of local and international productions that will power our screen industry in 2025”.
