In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, a full security audit of tourist sites in Jammu and Kashmir will be conducted ahead of the Amarnath Yatra, sources informed.

A complete security audit of tourist locations in Jammu and Kashmir is likely to be conducted in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, police sources said on Thursday.
The decision came after Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting with the security officials in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Areas including the Baisaran Valley were thrown open for tourists post the abrogation of Article 370, as the situation in the Union Territiory improved.
Now, with the Amarnath Yatra coming up, district level officials were asked to carry out a security audit, sources said.
All such areas would also see the deployment of police and the Central Reserve Police Force soon, they said.
