Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (Ajit Pawar faction) leader and former MLA Zeeshan Siddique received a death threat via email on Monday.
According to Mumbai Police officials, the threatening message was sent to Siddique’s personal email account which said that Zeeshan would be killed the same way as his father, Baba Siddique.

“What happened to your father will happen to you,” the email stated.
The email sender has demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore and said that he would send such emails every six hours
While speaking to CNN News18, the NCP leader said that he has reported the incident to the Bandra Police which later visited his residence and launched an investigation into the case.
“I have received one threat email today, I had reported that to Bandra Police. Team of Bandra police has reached my residence to record my statement. Cant share the content of the mail as of police is investigating the matter,” he said.
Baba Siddique Murder Case
Baba Siddique, a prominent NCP leader and former minister, was gunned down by three assailants on October 12, 2024, near his son’s office.
Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother Anmol, believed to be living in Canada, was allegedly behind the murder.
The three shooters were identified as- Gurmail Singh, a native of Haryana, Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh and Shiv Kumar Gautam alias Shiva, the main assailant who allegedly shot dead former Maharashtra minister, who were later held by the Police.
As per the investigation, Shiv reportedly had revealed that the NCP leader was killed due to his “close connections” with fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Earlier, a special court in January issued a non-bailable warrant against Anmol Bishnoi and two others wanted accused in the murder case.
