The overall security situation across India’s western border states remained stable through the night of May 10–11, with no reported incidents of fire, enemy contact, or hostile movement, hours after ceasefire violations by Pakistan, according to official sources.
In Jammu and Kashmir, authorities confirmed a normal security environment with no unusual activity reported along the International Border (IB) or Line of Control (LC).
Punjab continues to operate under a heightened state of security, particularly in border districts. A red alert remains in place in Amritsar as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety. Officials noted that robust border patrol mechanisms have been implemented.
In Rajasthan, no hostile movements or airspace violations were detected overnight. The state’s security establishment remains on alert.
Gujarat also reported a normal situation across the Rann of Kutch, coastal areas, and airspace. State headquarters and district administrations conducted a review meeting to assess and reinforce preparedness.
Two general alerts remain active:
A Notice to Mariners (NOMAR) continues due to ongoing naval activity within India’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) remains in force along the entire western sector and will be active until the declared date of May 13, 2025.
