A 31-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly threatening another man with a gun.

Police say the man was allegedly acting in a disorderly manner when he stormed a service station on Orchard Road, Maddington, and stole a number of items about 6.20pm on Saturday.

The man got back into his car and drove away before allegedly pointing a firearm at a 63-year-old driver, who was driving the car behind him.

A short time later, police attended the 31-year-old’s Maddington home where he was arrested.

The man was charged with eight offences including threatening to kill, being armed in a way that may cause fear and stealing.

He was remanded in custody and is due to face Northbridge Magistrates Court on Sunday.
