Mark Hamill’s apartment has “amazingly” survived the Los Angeles fire.
The 73-year-old comedian thanked fans for their messages of support and revealed his house is still alive despite the embers sweeping through his neighbourood earlier this month. The’Star War ‘ story, his wife Marilou York, and their dog Trixie were forced to flee their home and stay with child Chelsea in Hollywood.
Mark wrote on Instagram,” Kudos to all who were concerned if our home survived the flames,” sharing a picture that showed some homes standing still and some suffering. Extremely enough… it did. My heart goes out to everyone who weren’t as unlucky, not only in my town, but all of Los Angeles. Collectively, we will get through this! ]red heart emoji] -mh ( sic )”
A number of Mark’s well-known friends and associates expressed their joy over his great news.
‘ LEGO Star Wars ‘ voice artist Shelby Young commented on his write-up:” Mark, I’m so glad for you and yours.
It’s wonderful to hear any positive things happening during this, but I appreciate you sharing [heart emoji]” ( sic )”
And ‘ The Mandalorian ‘ artist Misty Rojas wrote:” I’m delighted your home survived!
” We Did get through this up! Only ran a sandwich for the Culver City YMCA’s individuals. ]heart emoji] ( sic )”
On Friday ( 10.01.24 ), the’ Wild Robot ‘ star admitted he was “in shock” about the extent of the fires and was finding the tragedy “hard to process”.
He wrote:” Hard to comprehend the carnage I’ve witnessed in the last two times. I’ve seen areas of fire clearly in the town.” For those who have lost so much in for a short amount of time, they are still in shock. # NoWords]broken heart emoji] ( sic )”
The day before, he comically tried to keep people amused amid the “hideous reality”.
Alongside a picture of him on set, he wrote:” In an effort to dismiss the terrible reality we are all facing, here’s a portrait of me as a cowboy for no apparent cause”.
