An air ambulance helicopter made an emergency landing in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath after developing a technical snag. The video of the helicopter landing in Kedarnath has gone viral on social media.
Reportedly, the helicopter suffered a tail rotor malfunction, after which the pilot brought it to land with great difficulty. The pilot’s quick thinking saved three lives, local officials said.

In the viral video, it can be seen that the helicopter was approaching rapidly for an emergency landing but failed to reach the helipad, instead crashing into the side of the facility.

According to news agency PTI, the ‘Sanjeevani’ helicopter ambulance was operated by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh.
District tourism development officer Rahul Chaubey said that the two doctors and a pilot who were in the helicopter are safe.
Chaubey, who is also the nodal officer for the helicopter service, said that the air ambulance had arrived at Kedarnath to rescue a pilgrim experiencing breathing difficulties when it encountered a technical issue with its tail rotor, prompting the emergency landing.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will investigate the incident, Chaubey added.
