Ram Charan’s Peddi is believed to have crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide, continuing its impressive run at the box office despite the usual weekday slowdown. Earlier, the makers had announced that Peddi had grossed Rs 292.5 crore globally in just four days, and given the rising popularity of the film, it is believed that the film might have entered the Rs 300-crore club.

As per trade website Sacnilk, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial earned Rs 12.05 crore on Day 5, staying in double digits and taking its total India net collection to Rs 169.70 crore.

The Day 5 numbers marked a 62.5 per cent drop from Sunday’s collections. The figure came from 7,905 shows across India.

After opening to Rs 51 crore on Thursday, along with Rs 18.50 crore from preview shows, the film had already posed a strong opening weekend. Its first weekend total stood at Rs 157.15 crore.

Collection breakdown

The film’s India nett collection now stands at Rs 169.70 crore, while its India gross has reached Rs 201.92 crore. In the overseas market, Peddi collected Rs 1 crore on Monday, taking its international gross to Rs 47 crore. As per a post by Peddi’s productionn house, Vriddhi cinema, the film earned gross of Rs 292.5 crore worldwide in four days.

The day-wise India nett collections are:

Day 0, first Wednesday, Rs 18.50 crore
Day 1, first Thursday, Rs 51 crore
Day 2, first Friday, Rs 26.90 crore
Day 3, first Saturday, Rs 29.10 crore
Day 4, first Sunday, Rs 32.15 crore
Day 5, first Monday, Rs 12.05 crore
The total so far is Rs 169.70 crore.

With its latest numbers, Peddi has surpassed the lifetime India nett collection of Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which earned Rs 167.46 crore. The film’s next milestone is They Call Him OG, which collected Rs 194.16 crore during its theatrical run.

The Ram Charan starrer has also gone past the lifetime collections of Guntur Kaaram at Rs 127.41 crore, Game Changer at Rs 131.20 crore, and The Raja Saab at Rs 146.04 crore.

Backlash over portrayal

Peddi has also found itself at the centre of a controversy over the portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor‘s character, Achiyamma. Several viewers criticised the film for what they described as the hypersexualisation of the character, raising objections to the way she was introduced, certain camera angles, and scenes they said appeared to romanticise behaviour without clear consent.

Apart from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in key roles.

Peddi released in theatres on June 4, 2026.
