Netizens, in a creative approach, combined the two names – Modi and Melodi – and called it “Melodi”. Even today, the memes are widely circulated online whenever the two Prime Ministers meet each other.
For the first time, PM Modi shared his take on such memes. Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath began his question by mentioning his favourite food – Pizza.
“Mera favourite food, agar aap poochein, toh Pizza hai. Aur Pizza Italy se hai; aur log kehte hain aapko Italy ke baare mein bahut kuchh pata hai” (My favourite food, if you ask me, is Pizza that belongs to Italy. Many people say that you know a lot about Italy), Kamath asked.
Taking a pause, he further continued, “Aapne memes nahi dekhe?” (Haven’t you seen the memes). In a quick response, PM Modi laughed and said, “Nahi, woh sab toh chalta rehta hai. Main usmein apna time waste nahi karta (No, that keeps going on. I don’t waste my time in that).
