The Republic Day Parade will be held on January 26, while the full dress rehearsal of the Beating Retreat is scheduled for January 28 and the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29.

India is set to celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26th. This significant day marks the anniversary of the Constituent Assembly of India formally adopting the Constitution. It commemorates the enforcement of the Constitution of India in 1950, which replaced the Government of India Act of 1935.

On this day, a public holiday is observed across the country, and grand celebrations are held at India Gate, showcasing the spirit of the nation.

Republic Day 2025 Parade: Where to buy tickets?

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) released a notice on January 1, outlining the procedure for obtaining tickets to the Republic Day parade.

As per the notice, tickets can be purchased directly from the official government website, aamantran.mod.gov.in. Additionally, tickets are available for download through the ‘Aamantran’ mobile app, which can be found on the Play Store.

The notice states that tickets can also be purchased from booths or counters by presenting an original photo ID card, such as an Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, or an ID card issued by the Central or State Government. This ID will also be required for attending the Republic Day ceremony and the Beating Retreat Rehearsal, and tickets will be available at five designated locations.

Republic Day 2025 Parade: Ticket price

Tickets for the Republic Day Parade, priced at Rs 100 and Rs 20, will be available for purchase from January 2 to January 11, starting at 9:00 PM every day until “the quota for the day gets exhausted.”

Tickets for the full dress rehearsal of the Beating Retreat on January 28 are priced at Rs 20, while tickets for the actual event on January 29 will cost Rs 100.

In addition to online purchases, tickets can also be obtained offline from ticket counters located at five sites: Sena Bhawan (Gate No 2), Shastri Bhawan (near Gate No 3), Jantar Mantar (near the main gate), Pragati Maidan (Gate No 1), and Rajiv Chowk Metro Station (Gates 7 and 8).

Republic Day 2025 Parade: Where to watch?

The Republic Day 2025 parade will be televised on news channels and radio stations and will be available for viewing to crores of Indians sitting at home. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and other top leaders of the country will be on Kartavya Path on January 26.
