A rescue helicopter is on the way to an emergency boating accident near Jurien Bay, with reports of multiple people overboard.
First responders turned out to reports of a “water crash incident” that involved a capsized vessel and numerous injuries at Escape Island about 2pm on Saturday.
The Department of Emergency Services dispatched the RAC Rescue Helicopter a short time later.
WA Police are also responding, with a spokesperson telling The West Australian officers had received reports of an “overdue vessel.”
The West Australian understands at least two people are in the water.
St John WA is also in attendance.
