The 2025 South West Craft Beer Festival aims to pair “the best waves and brews” with a surfing theme inspired by the Margaret River Pro — which will run over the same weekend.
The beer festival will return for its 13th year at the Aravina Estate in Yallingup on May 17 to celebrate the rich surf culture of the region and its long ties with the craft beer industry.
A selection of more than 150 beers will be on offer, from local breweries such as Eagle Bay Brewing Co, Bush Shack Brewery, Cowaramup Brewing Company, CBCo and new editions to the festival — Ocean Beach Brewing and Bailey Brewing Dunsborough.
A line-up of local musicians will soon be announced to compliment the array of food and “ice cold beers flowing all day long”.
Festival director Jason Dover said organisers decided to give the festival “a bit of a change-up” this year.
“Moving dates and venues has given us the ideal opportunity to bring together two passions that embody adventure and craftsmanship — craft beer and surf culture,” he said.
“Both celebrate creativity, community and the thrill of the perfect ride — whether it’s a wave or a perfectly brewed pint.”
Visitors will also be able to enter Arivina’s WA Surf Gallery — which features rare memorabilia such as historic surfboards from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as photographs and stories of WA’s surfing legends.
For those not privy to a cold beer, a selection of premium wines, ginger beer and ciders will also be available, as well as Bush Shack Brewery’s famous Screamin’ & Creamin’ and Mango Madness slushies.
Tickets are available on the South West Craft Beer Festival website.
