A kite chase turned into a tense rescue operation in Rajasthan’s Alwar after a 10-year-old boy fell into a 300-foot-deep open borewell and became trapped around 50 to 55 feet below the ground. After a frantic rescue operation, the boy, Bhanu, was safely pulled out of the borewell, bringing relief to his family and villagers.
The incident took place in Butoli village in the Ramgarh area of Alwar district. Bhanu, son of Sheeshram, had been running towards a field to retrieve a kite when he suddenly fell into the abandoned borewell.

According to villagers and Bhanu’s family, the 10-year-old was chasing a kite after it was cut and was running towards the field to retrieve it.
The field had an old borewell that had remained unused for a long time. A stone had been placed over its opening, but it had partially shifted.
The field had also seen little movement for a long period, and villagers were reportedly unaware that the borewell remained open.
While running towards the kite, Bhanu suddenly fell through the opening and became trapped around 50 to 55 feet below the ground. The borewell itself was around 300 feet deep.
RESCUE OPERATION BEGINS
The incident triggered panic in the village, with a large number of residents rushing to the spot after learning that the child was trapped underground.
The administration and police were informed, following which officials reached the site and launched a rescue operation.
Two JCB machines were brought in and excavation began alongside the borewell to create a route to the trapped child. Rescue equipment and machinery were also arranged at the spot.
A major relief for the rescuers was that Bhanu was reportedly safe and his voice could be heard from inside the borewell.
MLA, POLICE AND OFFICIALS REACH SPOT
Ramgarh MLA Sukhwant Singh reached the spot and took stock of the rescue operation. He sought information from officials and directed them to arrange the resources required to bring the child out safely.
Police and administrative officials also reached the site and monitored the rescue operation as excavation work continued.
The MLA also informed the party leadership about the incident. The district administration remained involved in the operation as rescuers worked to reach the child.
CHILD SAFELY RESCUED
After the rescue operation, Bhanu was finally brought out of the borewell safely.
The development brought major relief to his family, who had been waiting anxiously at the spot. A large number of villagers had also gathered as the operation continued.
Officials had been working to ensure that the child was brought out without further injury, while excavation continued alongside the borewell.
The incident has also drawn attention to the danger posed by abandoned and uncovered borewells, particularly in areas where people may not be aware of their presence.
