A single Aussie has become a multi-millionaire, taking home tonight’s $60 million jackpot Powerball after making a last minute number change on her ticket.
The NSW woman matched all seven numbers plus the all-important Powerball in draw 1567 on Thursday 28 May 2026.
The winning numbers were 26, 30, 10, 34, 16, 5, 12 and the Powerball was 11.
In addition to winning division one, the woman’s PowerHit entry also scored division two 19 times, taking her total prize to $60,638,678.35.
“Oh my god! Holy crap!” the Queanbeyan woman said when she was told she was the only Division One winner.
“I’m just sitting here watching the women’s State of Origin.”
“I actually changed one of the numbers on the PowerHit. I did a fast select on the ticket, but then thought I had too many numbers in the 30s. I had 33 and 34, so I took out 33 and made it 5. How insane is that!”
Australia’s newest millionaire said she would keep working for now but it may not be full time.
“Up until 10 minutes ago, I had a mortgage,” she said.
“I’m still young enough to enjoy this, share it with the family and make sure everyone’s comfortable for the rest of my life.”

The Division 2 winners took home a share of $33,614.65 pocketing just over a million each.
The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said Australia’s biggest jackpotting game was no stranger to breaking records.
“From offering a $1 million jackpot in 1996 to today’s era of blockbuster draws, Powerball has kept Australia on the edge of its seat for 30 years with sky-high dreams, blockbuster jackpots and life-changing wins,” he said.
“For millions of Australians, Powerball has ignited countless hopes and dreams, and delivered some truly life-changing moments.”

So far this year, eight Powerball division winners have collected more than $205 million – four in New South Wales, three in Victoria and one in Western Australia.
The biggest Powerball prize won in 2026 to date is $80 million.
Since the first Powerball draw held on Thursday 23 May 1996, 587 Powerball division one winners have collectively taken home $8,975,858,948.18.
