Police are investigating a brawl at a junior soccer game in Sydney’s southwest on Saturday during which spectators spilt onto the pitch.

Police were called to a park at Iluka Street, Revesby on Saturday afternoon responding to reports of a brawl during an under-17 boys’ match.

Officers were informed that a melee broke out among players but escalated when onlookers streamed onto the field.

A 47-year-old man was treated by paramedics for minor injuries and was taken to Bankstown Hospital.

NSW Police on Saturday night said an investigation was underway but no arrests had been made.
