A worker has died after being electrocuted when his scissor lift struck power lines in Melbourne’s west, with WorkSafe now probing the tragic accident.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Geelong Rd, in Laverton North, around 2pm on Monday.
The 55-year-old man has not been formally identified.
Footage obtained by 7News shows the man’s colleagues comforting each other following the incident.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and are not treating the incident as suspicious.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said WorkSafe had been notified of the incident.
