A Chinese man has become an unlikely internet sensation after building a massive online following by impersonating Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang using little more than a budget leather jacket, a pair of glasses, and flour-dusted hair.
According to a report by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), 28-year-old Yang Yang, who lives in a rural village in Liaoning province in northeastern China, has amassed tens of thousands of followers within weeks through videos in which he recreates the appearance and mannerisms of the tech billionaire.

Posting under the handle “@huangyinxun,” a pronunciation of Huang’s Chinese name in the local northeastern dialect, Yang has uploaded more than 20 clips of dressing himself as the Nvidia chief.
His transformation involves sprinkling wheat flour into his hair to mimic Huang’s signature grey look, styling it with hair gel, and pairing it with a black leather jacket and spectacles similar to those frequently worn by the executive.
SCMP reported that Yang spent the equivalent of around US$15 (roughly Rs 1500) on the jacket and less than US$2 (roughly Rs 200) on the glasses, creating a remarkably convincing resemblance on a modest budget.
Many of the videos poke fun at Huang’s public image and recent viral moments. In some clips, Yang carries oversized graphics card models, a nod to Nvidia’s dominance in the AI chip market.
In others, he recreates scenes inspired by Huang’s recent visit to China, including eating noodles from a large bowl and sipping beverages from the popular Chinese chain Mixue Ice Cream & Tea.
The real Huang recently drew attention on Chinese social media after videos surfaced showing him casually eating Beijing-style noodles and drinking local beverages while visiting the country as part of a US business delegation.
The impersonation videos have struck a chord online. SCMP reported that several of Yang’s posts have attracted millions of views, with some crossing the 15-million mark. His livestreams have also pulled in audiences of up to 20,000 viewers at a time.
Behind the viral fame, however, is a very different story.
Yang comes from a farming family and began working at the age of 16. Over the years, he took on a variety of jobs, including washing dishes and working in restaurants before eventually returning to his hometown to care for his ageing parents.
Prior to his newfound fame as “China’s Jensen Huang,” he was already creating content about rural life, though earnings from social media were often unpredictable.
The idea of imitating Huang was not entirely new. According to the SCMP report, followers had been pointing out the resemblance between the two men for over a year. Yang only decided to embrace the comparison after clips of Huang’s China visit began circulating widely online.
He said he felt a connection with the Nvidia chief beyond their appearance. As quoted by SCMP, Yang noted that he admired Huang’s rise from humble beginnings and was particularly inspired after learning that Huang had worked washing dishes in restaurants during his youth, a job Yang himself once held.
The sudden popularity has also brought unexpected challenges. Yang revealed that he received messages from people claiming to represent Nvidia’s legal department and demanding that he remove the videos.
“I am terrified,” Yang told SCMP, adding that he was unsure whether the requests were genuine.
In a light-hearted message directed at Huang, he said, “I beg Boss Huang and his Nvidia not to lower yourself to my level.” He added that if the videos were genuinely harming the company’s image, he would be willing to take them down.
For now, however, the flour-haired Nvidia lookalike continues to entertain millions online, turning a chance resemblance into one of China’s most unexpected viral success stories.
