A day before a gathering of the criticism INDIA union, Trinamool Congress general Mamata Banerjee met AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal in the federal funds on Sunday, June 7.
The two leaders discussed” the road away,” according to the TMC, who described the meeting as “warm.”
The following day, the 23 political parties of the INDIA bloc may meet to rework their plans to confront the BJP and resolve differences in the wake of local anchors ‘ defeat in new assembly surveys and to reconfigure their strategies.
The group stated in a blog on X that” OurHon’ble Chairperson Smt. Mamata Banerjee and our Honorable National General Secretary Shri Abhishek Banerjee met with Shri Arvind Kejriwal Ji now, in Delhi.”
They engaged in a lively debate about the route ahead, it said.
In an apparent reference to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the TMC even urged cohesion and a “better potential” in 2029.
No force on earth you stop India’s people’s march toward justice, integrity, and a better future in 2029, it added.
Mamata Banerjee is in Delhi to watch the INDIA union meet.
AAP announced that it was no longer a part of the INDIA union after the announcement of the Mamata Banerjee-Kejriwal meet.
AAP is unlikely to show up at the meeting on Monday.
The DMK is scheduled to skip the INDIA bloc meeting due to what it has described as the “betrayal” of the Congress in Tamil Nadu, and the CPI ( M ) is upset over claims made by senior Congress leaders that the Left and the BJP in Kerala have collided with one another. This comes as a result of tensions in ties between some members of the opposition alliance.
The TMC has continued to communicate directly with Kejriwal and the AAP, and the two parties ‘ officials have met frequently over the past two years, particularly during outreach efforts to the criticism following the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and prior to important opposition consultations.
In their altercations with the Centre, the TMC has even supported Kejriwal and AAP.
Both sides had no immediate comment on whether the INDIA union appointment or potential opposition coordination would be impacted by the Mamata Banerjee-Kejriwal meeting.
