New Delhi: A flames broke out at a house in New Friends Colony around 3:45 am on Sunday, killing two of the puppies that had been suffocating seven people, including four kids.
Residents on the upper floors were enraged by the incident that erupted at home number C-600, he claimed, as thick smoke poured into the structure and blocked the northern staircase.

Local police teams and other rescue organizations, including the Delhi Fire Service ( DFS), reportedly rushed to the scene in southeast Delhi after receiving a PCR call regarding the fire.
Teams discovered fireplace coming from the second floor of the structure. A senior police officer claimed that the lights and heavy smoke had rendered the principal staircase unusable, leaving many tenants and two puppies stranded inside.
Seven citizens, including two ladies, one person, and four children, were rescued from the tower, according to police, using special equipment and other entry routes.
The official clarified information of a boy’s death by clarifying that the information that is being made about a child dying during the event is false. He claimed that no reports of people casualties have been made.
A fast response vehicle, fire tenders, and a water hunter were initially dispatched to the location, according to the DFS. According to the report, supplementary fire resources were then used to control the situation.
The fire’s precise cause has not yet been determined, according to authorities, and examinations are still being conducted.
The incident comes weeks after a catastrophic hotel blaze in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar claimed 21 lives and injured several people.
In connection with that incident, the Delhi Police detained the lodge operator and a kitchen in connection with the situation as investigators looked into alleged breaches of fire safety standards and other blunders.
