Mumbai: In Juhu, Mumbai, an old Muslim store owner, Rafat Hussain, was allegedly abused and harassed by Hindutva people. He claimed that they targeted him because of his religion.
Even though the tragedy happened on Saturday, June 13, the shop owner’s video went viral days after. Four women entered Hussain’s Mannat Ethnic Designer dealership, and the result was a regular customer conversation.
Four people called at 3:30 pm on a Saturday to say that our home had a bride coming up and that we needed Shervani for it,” Hussain recalled. Finally, the ladies demanded that he also wear suits.
The store owner said,” Matllab baate karte karte unhone aise alfaaz istemaal karna chalu kiye toh mujhe hot shak sa paida develop lag gan kahi simple saath kuch galath bhai na hora ka,” and as a result, they started speaking in the language that made me suspicious, like something bad may be
” Aur wohi hua ( that is exactly what happened )” he continued.
Hussain claimed that the group of women suddenly stood and said,” Seedha mere saath badtameezi karne lagi ( started being rude to me )”.
They said,” You are a Muslim, you live in a certain way, and you do things the wrong way,” and you are a Muslim.” Bole tum musalmaan ho, tumlog aisi tareekhe se rahte ho aur tumlog johe galath tareekhe se kaam karte ho.”
Authorities place surrounded by a 150-person crowd.
He made an unsuccessful leave and immediately fumbled to the nearest police depot, where he explained the affair to the soldiers who were on duty. A crowd of nearly 150 persons gathered around the police station in the next 20 to 25 days, according to Shah. ” Woh naare lagate hai jo aajkal pure Hindustan me lagrahe hai ( They started making noises that you can hear all over India right now )”
Some members of the rabble attempted to climb inside the police station while the police officials escorted the store owner to security. The officers train was attacked by at least 20 or 25 young men who were brave enough to surprise the police station and launch an attack.
He claimed that the ladies registered a second info statement against him rather than taking any action against the attackers. He called All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen ( AIMIMIM ) national spokesperson Waris Pathan and pleaded for his assistance while hiding inside the station.
Hussain claimed that Pathan and the officers started acting disparagingly after his visit. Even after I explained the situation to Waris Bhai, the officer claimed there was no one present (outside ). He claimed that Bushan More, a police officer, was lying when the group of 100 to 150 shouted like provocative phrases.
The owner of the store also called Imtiaz Jaleel, the lieutenant commissioner of police, after asking for a conversation.
Just murder was sported beard and a cap.
” Abhi mujhe jam lagta ka bas khadne hain liye yeh store me,” said one. I’m afraid to stand in this store, but kya maloom sir kaun kaha poder ajaye aur sheer upar dah haatsa hojaye. Who knows where tomorrow’s guests will appear, and what kind of big accident may result in for me?
” It’s simply wrong for me to be wearing a moustache and a cap in my store in Juhu.”
Hussain has a strong suspicion that the assault was purposeful and well-planned. This specific incident seems like a deliberate act in light of what is happening in the Muslim community around the country, he said.
He questioned how the ladies who allegedly purchased bridal attire may turn up in such a huge audience. Hussain said,” I sincerely believe a deal was given to injure me, but I fortunately escaped by fleeing to the police station.”
Hussain’s account of the suffering has sparked a lot of outcry online, raising severe concerns about police inaction and social targeting.
